Campground along the river (Peter Fiddler Park)

From the back packing camper to the RV enthusiast Peter Fidler Park is a camp ground with full hook ups, and tent sites.

Situated along the Red Deer river the scenery is beautiful. Don't be too startled by the wayward mule deer as they pass through the park. In the evening you can relax to the call of the coyote. The park has shower facilities.

Churches

Empress has several churches, some are no longer holding services, however the beautiful buildings are still standing

Saint Mary's Anglican church was originally built in 1914 and remains standing in much the same shape as it was back then, complete with the bell and outhouse.

Saint Paul's Lutheran church is also a part of the history of Empress. In 1999 the church held its last service, but the building still stands as a reminder of days gone by.

The Church of the Infant Jesus Roman Catholic church. Also known as Nativity Catholic Church, holds regular mass in Empress. This building also offers a peek into the past, with its steeple rising above the roof tops of Empress. Situated on the west end of town up on the hill, be sure to attend mass when you come for a visit.

Evensong Church - 565-2269
